The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in  New  Delhi  publishes a range of journals focused on education and related research. These journals aim to contribute    to the development of educational practices and policies in India.

  • भारतीय आधुनिक शिक्षा

    भारतीय आधुनिक शिक्षा राष्ट्रीय शैक्षिक अनुसंधान और प्रशिक्षण परिषद की एक त्रैमासिक पत्रिका है, जो यू.जी.सी. की केयर (कंसोर्टियम फॉर एकेडमिक एंड रिसर्च एथिक्स - सी.ए.आर.ई.) पत्रिकाओं की सूची में सूचीबद्ध है। यह पत्रिका शिक्षाविदों, शैक्षिक प्रशासकों, शिक्षक-प्रशिक्षकों, शिक्षकों, शोधार्थियों, विद्यार्थी-शिक्षकों एवं विद्यार्थियों को विद्यालयी शिक्षा एवं अध्यापक शिक्षा पर अपने मौलिक शैक्षिक विचार रखने का एक मंच प्रदान करती है। लेखकों द्वारा भेजे गए सभी लेखों, शोध पत्रों, पुस्तक समीक्षाओं आदि का प्रकाशन से पूर्व समकक्ष विद्वानों द्वारा पूर्ण निष्पक्षतापूर्वक पुनरीक्षण किया जाता है। इस पत्रिका का मुख्य उद्देश्य विद्यालयी शिक्षा एवं अध्यापक शिक्षा के विभिन्न आयामों में, विशेषकर राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 के संदर्भ में, विद्यालयी शिक्षा एवं अध्यापक शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता को बढ़ावा देना है। इस पत्रिका का एक अन्य उद्देश्य मौलिक एवं समीक्षात्मक चिंतन को भी प्रोत्साहित करना है।

  • प्राथमिक शिक्षक

    प्राथमिक शिक्षक, राष्ट्रीय शैक्षिक अनुसंधान और प्रशिक्षण परिषद (NCERT) की एक त्रैमासिक पत्रिका है। इस पत्रिका का मुख्य उद्देश्य शिक्षकों और संबंधित प्रशासकों तक केंद्रीय सरकार की शिक्षा नीतियों से संबंधित जानकारी पहुँचाना है। यह पत्रिका उन्हें कक्षा में प्रयोग की जा सकने वाली सार्थक और उपयोगी सामग्री प्रदान करती है और देशभर के विभिन्न केंद्रों में चल रहे पाठ्यक्रमों और कार्यक्रमों के बारे में समय पर अवगत कराती है। शिक्षा जगत में होने वाली गतिविधियों पर विचारों के आदान-प्रदान के लिए भी यह पत्रिका एक मंच प्रदान करती है।

    पत्रिका में प्रकाशित लेखों में व्यक्त किए गए विचार लेखकों के अपने होते हैं। अतः यह आवश्यक नहीं है कि प्रत्येक चिंतन NCERT की नीतियों को ही प्रस्तुत करता हो। इसलिए, परिषद का उनके विचारों के लिए कोई उत्तरदायित्व नहीं है।

  • Indian Journal of Educational Technology

    Indian Journal of Educational Technology is to promote and strengthen the quality research ecosystem in the field of Education Technology.  The journal primarily focuses on the application of technology in education. It explores various aspects such as digital learning, multimedia in education, e-learning, interactive technologies, and more. It features research articles, case studies, reviews, and reports related to educational technology in the context of Indian education. This includes innovations, challenges, and advancements in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.   • INDIAN EDUCATIONAL REVIEW

    The Indian Educational Review is a bi-annual journal, brought out by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. The Journal publishes articles and researches on educational policies and practices and values material that is useful to practitioners in the contemporary times. The Journal also provides a forum for teachers to share their experiences and concerns about schooling processes, curriculum, textbooks, teaching-learning and assessment
    practices. 

  • JOURNAL OF INDIAN EDUCATION

    The Journal of Indian Education is a peer reviewed periodical published in May, August, November and February by the National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi.
    The NCERT encourages original and critical thinking in education. The JIE provides a forum for teachers, teacher educators, educational administrators and researchers through presentation of novel ideas, critical appraisals of contemporary educational problems and views and experiences on improved educational practices. Its aims include thought-provoking articles, challenging
    discussions, analysis, challenges of educational issues, book reviews and other related features.

  • SCHOOL SCIENCE

    School Science is a peer-reviewed journal published quarterly by the National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi. It aims to bring within easy reach of teachers and students the recent developments in the areas of science, mathematics, and environment by serving as a platform to disseminate research findings, sharing innovative pedagogies, theoretical work and other advances towards improving teaching-learning in such areas.

  • THE PRIMARY TEACHER

    The Primary Teacher is a quarterly journal brought out by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. It carries articles and research papers on educational policies and practices, and values material that is useful for practitioners in contemporary times. The journal also provides a forum to teachers to share their experiences and concerns about the schooling processes, curriculum, textbooks, teaching–learning and assessment practices.
    The papers for publication are selected on the basis of comments from two referees. The views expressed by individual authors are their own and do not necessarily reflect the policies of the NCERT, or the views of the editor.

  • Voices of Teachers and Teacher Educators

    The journal Voices of Teachers and Teacher Educators, launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, aims to emphasize the critical role of teacher education in ensuring quality, equitable education for all under the Right to Education Act, 2009. With the need for more teachers, the journal highlights the transformative impact teachers can have on social change and educational quality. It provides a platform for teachers, educators, researchers, and policymakers across diverse institutions to share experiences, reflect, and learn collectively. Contributions are accepted in English and Hindi, with plans for a multilingual edition soon.
