Issue Description

The Journal of Indian Education is a reviewed periodical published in May, August, November and February by the National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi. The NCERT encourages original and critical thinking in education. The JIE provides a forum for teachers, teacher educators, educational administrators and researchers through presentation of novel ideas, critical appraisals of contemporary educational problems and views and experiences on improved educational practices. Its aims include thought-provoking articles, challenging discussions, analysis, challenges of educational issues, book reviews and other related features. The Journal reviews educational publications other than textbooks. Publishers are invited to send two copies of their latest publications for review. The views expressed by individual authors are their own. They do not necessarily reflect the views of the NCERT or the views of the Editors.
